Determining when the “right time” to move into a senior living community can be a very complicated decision-making process. A growing trend is that many people wait for a significant health or caregiving crisis to happen before considering a move. Unfortunately, we don’t often make sound decisions in crisis situations and waiting until a crisis also severely limits choices. We want to encourage you to attend our FREE seminar to learn about creating and having a plan for moving to a senior living community as well as the benefits of moving before something happens.
About Our Presenter: Our presenter is Sandra McGurran, Social Worker

This afternoon, we welcomed 135 kindergarten students from Eagle Ridge Academy in Eden Prairie for a Valentine's Day performance.
The students started with the Pledge of Allegiance, sang popular nursery rhymes and then ended with a reception of heart shaped cookies with the residents.
They also handed out homemade valentine cards to all the residents which you'll see in the photos. It was a fun event for the residents, they were so impressed by how well behaved they were!
Thanks for visiting Eagle Ridges Academy!!

We're CELEBRATING Activity Professionals Week! We love and appreciate Anna, Ben and Laurel so very much. They add laughter, fun and so much more to lives of those we serve.
Here are a few things people had to say about them:
🔆 Our resident’s eyes light up when Anna, Laurel and Ben enter the room. Whether its Anna’s way of making everyone feel like family, Ben’s musical talent or Laurel’s gentle spirit with our memory care residents Aurora is lucky to have such a caring activities team. They offer our residents a variety of activities in and out of the building, enhancing their lives and uplifting their spirits.
🔆 It’s nice to be able to have activities for my husband to participate in since I am unable to take him to outings. His favorite is lottery ticket bingo and I enjoy visiting with other residents at happy hour each week. --M.O
🔆 Aurora on France is the greatest place for retirees. The staff rates at the top for attentive care and for providing opportunities for a fun and active life. We are encouraged to exercise, make crafts, play games, have parties and mixers all put on by the activity department. The activities help me become acquainted with my neighbors and make new friends. We have also had the opportunity to do service project to help others in need. --N.M.
Thank you Anna, Ben and Laurel for ALL that you do! Please leave a comment for them below to let them know what they mean to you in the work that they do.
Few processes are more stressful than deciding upon the best place to move a loved one when it is determined that a move to memory care is the best option. Keep in mind that when this decision needs to be made, it is often critically important, not only for the well-being of the person with dementia, but in order to maintain the health and safety of the family member who is their current care partner.
If you are in the process of making this potentially agonizing decision, here are some questions to ask yourself, and others, as you tour and consider various possibilities:
What does the environment feel like?
